A newsagent was selling these cacti (cactuses!). The plants and I had a nice long photoshoot, then I took them all home and photographed them some more.
The orange background is natural; the newsagent had put them in a banana box.

The camera can capture an insect and blow it up to huge size. It becomes possible to enjoy details of design which the naked human eye just cannot capture. I use my Canon 500D macro lens attachment to get in close.
